To compete or not to compete?
Its completely up to you! We offer many classes in both types.
To join a competitive troupe, contact reception to discuss a tryout class.
Because some of our classes are of a particular level, students must either tryout or be invited to be in that class. Our lovely reception girls can let you know how this all works.
What are the teachers like?
At Dancers Edge we are continually building and improving on our program and as such have some extremely talented, and highly regarded teachers in the Dance World. Their teaching, abilities, choreography and performance abilities are second to none, and all of them still work and perform in the dance world.. Some of these include Sue Ellen Shook; who has been in the industry for over 20 years and is one of the most well respected teachers in the country. Phill Haddad whose strength is Hip Hop, was asked to be a choreographer on So You Think You can Dance for this style, and is also very talented across many areas, and Rob Shook- our ’Stunt Man’ who will be running the Pro Class with Sue Ellen on a Friday morning was a stunt double or Heath Ledger in the movie Ned Kelly and has many more great credits to his name. We also have many more wonderful up and coming teachers that are really making their mark. Check out their profiles in the staff page.
