Nationals, and 2017 Team Placements!

After a jam-packed 4 days of competition at the National Championships and Pinnacle located in Gold Coast Convention Centre, we hope all athletes, coaches, parents and supporters are enjoying a well-earned rest!

The weekend is finally here for 2017 Team Placements & we look forward to seeing our athletes who have just competed over the past weekend, as well as meeting some new faces!

Assessment Information
Team Placements are this weekend (times below!)
All ages & abilities are welcome! Including new to Outlaws & existing members.

You have 2 options…

  1. Stay in your current level (We will determine which team of that level, you best fit)…
    a) Come to Placement day & fill out a form to lock in your place.
    b) We will tell you which skills day to come to that week (Your current level’s day)
    c) The day after the skills day, you will get a call telling you your new team.
    d) Then, come meet your team on your teams training day (between 12-16th Dec)
  2. If you’re new to Outlaws, or believe you have the skills to move up a level…
           a) Come to Placement day & do an assessment.
    b) We tell you which skills days to come to that week (Current level + one above)
    c) The day after the skills days, you will get a call telling you your new team.
    d) Come meet your team on your team training day (from 12-16th Dec. Time TBC)

The main skill set looked at on placement day is tumbling, however stunting ability from the current season, and during the skills week, is also taken into account.
To be assessed for the next level, you will be required to have mastered the level above’s tumbling, to allow you to compete it safely. If you do not have all of that level’s tumbling, but would like to move up a level, that is done by invitation only based on attitude, attendance, and other assets you may add to a team.

Which Level do I try out for if i think i’m ready to move up?
You can only do an assessment for one level above the level you are currently in, to ensure you master all the progressions of each level. In the case that an extra person is required to fill a team & someone may need to move up more than 1 level, that is also done by invitation only.

What if i can’t make the Team Assessment or the Skills Day?
Please call or email our locations over the Team Placement weekend to arrange an alternative.
You are still welcome to do a placement after, if you miss the assessment day, however in some cases this may limit the teams available for you to be placed into, due to some teams potentially already being filled.
